Sheep and goats can be challenging animals to raise. The veterinarians at the Lancaster Vet Clinic understand their unique health issues.

Our veterinarians will work with you to maintain the health of your sheep. Ewes need special care during lambing season, and we will help get that new crop of lambs off to a great start. Market lambs need a consistent rate of gain for quality meat production. Breeding age rams and ewes need to be in good health to insure reproduction capabilities. And, of course, good feed and good health are necessary for good quality wool.

The total number of goats has increased in the Grant County area in the past few years. We can help answer your questions on basic goat care, diseases, preventative health care, and breeding goats. Overall good health of the does and bucks is critical for consistent reproduction and high quality hair fiber. We will work with you to help your dairy goats maintain good health for maximum milk production.

Many youth like to show sheep and goats for their 4-H and FFA projects at the county fair, and we can help make sure those animals are healthy and ready for the show ring.
