Meet Our Team

The Lancaster Vet Clinic is a mixed animal practice. We work with all kinds of large and small animals. Anyone who needs help with their livestock or pets is welcome to contact us. If we can’t help you, we will find someone who can. The clinic is owned by veterinarians Sally Harper and Cari Schaffer.

 

Dr. Cari Schaffer

DVM, Owner and Veterinarian

Dr. Cari Schaffer graduated from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has practiced at Lancaster Veterinary Clinic since then. She is now part owner of the practice. Cari enjoys the area of science of medicine and how she can make animals feel better with surgery and medicine. The clients and staff are a special part of her day. Outside the clinic, she enjoys family, soccer, gardening, biking, knitting, reading and cooking. Her family includes her husband Tony and their four children, Jack, Zoey, Sam and Grace. Their family pets include two cats Zala and Sprinkles, three border collies Linus, Casper and Easel, seventeen cows and some mice.

Jill

Practice Manager, Certified Vet Technician

Jill has worked at Lancaster Veterinary Clinic as a certified veterinary technician since 2006. In 2013, she transitioned to practice manager, but she still helps out as a tech. Her areas of interest are animal care and the human pet bond. Outside the clinic, she enjoys family time, sewing, gardening and being outside. Her family includes her husband Shane and two children, Anna and Henry. Their family’s pets are Nellie the border collie, Ike the African grey parrot, Easter and Carrots the Holland lop bunnies, Twix and Kit Kat the ducks, fish and a small flock of sheep.

Alisha

Certified Vet Technician

Alisha has worked at Lancaster Veterinary Clinic as a certified veterinary technician since 2013. Her areas of interest are dentals, surgeries and being able to meet the clients and pets. Outside the clinic, she enjoys camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Her family includes her husband Andrew, their son Anson and their two cats Cali and Paisley, and Rook the dalmation.

Megan

Certified Vet Technician

Megan has worked at Lancaster Veterinary Clinic as a certified veterinary technician since 2018. Her areas of interest are surgery and client education. Outside the clinic, she enjoys fishing, reading, watching movies and playing games with her family. Her family includes her husband Darren, son Jonathan and her step-daughters Samantha and Olivia and their pets Jax, Chester, Noodle, Loki, 1 cockatiels, and Ony the Bearded dragon.

Katie

Client Relations

Katie has worked with Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in client relations since Summer of 2020. Her area of interest is the human animal interaction. Outside the clinic, she enjoys camping, being outdoors, reading, traveling and swimming. Katie and her fiancé Jake enjoy their cats Claire and Miette and three dogs Lyla, Opie and Otis.

Jessica

Client Relations

Jessica has worked with Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in Client Relations since 2021. Her areas of interest are working with clients and all their pets needs. Outside the clinic, she enjoys camping, being outside and spending time with family. Her family includes her husband Justin, their daughter Lillie, their German Shepherd Duke and Golden Retriever Daisy.

Missy

Kennel Supervisor

Missy has worked with Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in client relations since 2018. Her area of interest is the dog day camp and finding new ways to keep it fun. She loves to see the clients and their pets in the front lobby. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking, hiking with her pets, photography, and spending time with her family. Missy and her family enjoy their five cats and three dogs.

Paige

Paige has worked with Lancaster Veterinary Clinic as a kennel assistant since 2022 and is participating in the OJT program at Lancaster High School. Paige attends Lancaster High School and will be attending the Madison Area Technical College in the fall of 2023. Her plans are to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Scott

Scott has worked with Lancaster Veterinary Clinic as a kennel assistant since 2022. He cares for our boarding and daycare pets after school and on weekends. Scott attends Lancaster High School.
